Elon Musk, the Tesla founder and CEO, is not just an innovator but an icon of innovation.
He is the inventor of the Model S, the first electric car.
He has founded and led many of the world’s most successful startups, including Tesla, SolarCity, SolarWorld and SpaceX.
He was named to the prestigious Order of the British Empire for his contributions to technology.
Yet his personal passion and life story remains largely a mystery to the world.
But that changed on Monday when the world learned that Musk had died.
His death was confirmed by his son, who wrote on Twitter that his father passed away at 6:15am local time, after a brief illness.
It is not clear if Musk died from an illness or a fall.
He will be missed by his family and many of his followers, and his life story will remain a mystery for many years to come.
“Elon has lived his entire life in awe of the possibilities of science and technology, and he will be greatly missed,” his son wrote.
Faraday has a history of inventing, and Musk was a pioneer in the field of battery-electric vehicles.
The company’s new electric car is called the EV3.
It has an estimated range of between 100 and 130 miles on a single charge.
In Musk’s mind, the EV2 was a “big step backwards” from his original goal of a “mass production car”.
But Tesla is a “small step forward” from the company’s goal of making a mass market vehicle, said his son in a statement.
“Tesla is making it bigger, faster and smarter, and it is our dream to become the first car company to produce a mass-market car with all the features of the car we just made,” he said.
Musk was born in 1952, in New Jersey, the son of an auto engineer and a woman.
He graduated from Princeton University in 1975 with a degree in electrical engineering.
His work in academia led to the appointment by the California Air Resources Board in 1980 as the state’s director of electric vehicle research.
Musk has been involved in the automotive industry since the 1970s, when he was involved in an effort to build a commercial air-breathing vehicle.
In 1981, he was awarded a $100 million grant from the National Science Foundation to help develop the vehicle, which was the first commercially successful electric car and one of the first mass-produced electric vehicles.
In 2002, Musk bought the rights to the brand of Tesla Motors and launched the company with a $1 billion investment.
The vehicle was designed to run on electricity.
The first production vehicle was the Model X SUV, which Musk called the “Tesla of cars”.
The company later launched the Model 3, which he called the world “most disruptive electric car”.
Musk also became involved in a long-running feud with billionaire investor Carl Icahn.
Icahn has sued Musk, accusing him of stealing his ideas and using them to advance his own business interests.
Icahns lawsuit, which has been widely covered by the media, has led to a $2.5 billion settlement with Musk.
Tesla and Musk’s relationship began to fall apart in 2016 when Icahn accused Musk of stealing $1.2 billion from Tesla’s business, including the sale of a stake in Tesla to SolarCity in 2007.
Musk responded that Icahn was a liar, and Icahn filed a defamation lawsuit against Musk, charging that Musk stole his ideas to build the Model E electric car he later sold.
Icann has been in a legal battle with Musk for the past several years.
Musk’s lawyers have been trying to have the case dismissed, but Icahn said on Monday that he was not going to back down.
“I will not back down from the fight,” he told reporters, referring to Icahn’s claim that he is suing to gain leverage over Musk.
Musk said he was still committed to working with Icahn, adding that he believed he could work together “without conflict”.
Icahn declined to comment on the matter.
The feud between Musk and Icahn was a result of Icahn trying to use Musk’s patents to try and prevent Tesla from competing with SolarCity and SolarCity’s rival, Tesla Energy.
Musk sued Icahn and SolarBanc in 2013 and lost.
Musk later filed a new lawsuit, saying that Icann was trying to create a monopoly by using Musk’s intellectual property.
Musk and Tesla Energy also had a dispute over the naming rights for the Tesla Roadster, the vehicle Tesla is trying to build to compete with SolarWorld.
Musk ultimately won the lawsuit.
Musk became the third-most valuable person in the world in 2014 when he sold the rights for $5 billion to his sister for $2 billion.
The deal was reported as an $18 billion valuation in March 2017, but the valuation has since fallen.
Musk told Business Insider last year that he sold his stake
